Baseball NSW would like to announce the appointment of Jason Chabi as the new President and Board of Management Chair, given the recent retirement of Ross Morrison.
Jason is currently the Head of Commercial Strategy and Planning at the Lottery Corporation and has worked in various roles including sales, marketing, and business development domestically and abroad.
A member of the Board for three years now, Jason has been the Director responsible for finance and Little League. Jason has a wealth of experience within grassroots baseball administration, having contributed at a club and association level for many years as part of the Cronulla junior program.
Jason has been instrumental in helping evolve the junior participation pathway strategy, both within New South Wales and nationally.
“The opportunity to step-change our sport across all levels and leagues is significant, arguably necessary and is a view shared by the Board whose complexion and capability has intentionally been diversified over the last two years.”
Chabi said he looked forward to working with Baseball Australia, other state and government bodies and importantly, the many stakeholder and volunteer groups whose contribution to Baseball in our state cannot be understated.
“Having worked closely with Jason over a number of years now, I am excited about what we can do for the membership moving forward” – CEO Mark Marino.
The Management of Baseball NSW looks forward to a prosperous new year under Jason and the Board’s guidance.
