Women’s Development Pathway Program

Baseball NSW’s female-only winter program is an 8-week program that will consist of two sessions per week and will have some of the best coaches, and players in the NSW Women’s League as coaches involved in the developmental program. The program will be led and directed by Baseball NSW State Development Officer, Coen Wynne and will run out of two regionalized venues in the North and South.

Athletes will undergo an 8-week program that will further develop their pre-existing skills and create new skills in the areas of their game in which they choose to specialize in. All athletes will be in the hands of coaches who have experience and good command of multiple disciplines throughout the game of baseball.

After the WDP the athletes will be invited to a testing day where they will be able to show their skills and put-up data that we will use to compare to their times used to trial for this program. This testing day will include a 60 yd dash, Run & Gun, and Bat Exit Speed test.

Baseball NSW are pleased to announce that the WDP will be FREE for all players selected into the program for 2023 as part of our initiative to grow women’s development and participation in the game of baseball.

We will integrate cutting-edge baseball technology to accompany the WDP and allow players and parents alike to collect and analyse data on the player’s swings. Partnering with Blast Motion, Baseball NSW now gives the athletes in our programs top-of-the-line statistics which will assist in their development and shape the future of Baseball NSW’s coaching delivery.

By doing this Baseball NSW can assist the athletes in developing certain areas of their swing through individualized practice plans to work on away from the program while they work on well-rounded swings and drills throughout the program.
