Baseball NSW are once again running the Women’s Development Program (WDP) for 2023.
This female focused, winter high performance program will run over eight weeks from mid-July to early September.
Baseball NSW are pleased to announce that the WDP will be FREE for all players selected into the program as part of our initiative to grow women’s development and participation in the game of baseball. The program this year will flow seamlessly into further playing opportunities like the Barclay Cup and the Australian Youth and Open Women’s Championship trials, creating a more succinct timeline for the Women’s and Youth Women’s Baseball Calendar.
This year the Baseball NSW Women’s program will be set up in two tiers. There will be the Women’s Elite Tier and the Women’s Futures Tier. Both programs will run on the same dates out of the same venue but will have separate session plans which will better fit the skill level of the individual player.
This is a FREE program offered by Baseball NSW thanks to the ‘Her Sport Her Way’ grant we successfully received from the NSW Office of Sport.
A significant focus of the Women’s Development program this year will be the involvement of current high-level players and coaches, including past and current Australian Emeralds players, across a variety of leadership roles in the WDP.
Trainings will be Tuesday and Thursday nights at Blacktown International Sportspark.
If this program is something you or someone you know would be interested in, please register to trial via the information pack below.
Registrations close at 11:59 pm Monday the 19th of June.
