Congratulations to all our Women’s League teams that have been successful over the past weeks in the finals of our NSW State League. Going into the semi-final’s games, we saw Blacktown Workers and Ryde Hawks successful in their matches, with Ryde progressing to the preliminary final to meet Greenway Giants.
With Blacktown given the week off, Greenway Giants were victorious in the Preliminary final against Ryde Hawks and progressed through to the Grand Final to meet Blacktown. Last Saturday, we were lucky to beat the rain and play the 1st grade Women’s League Grand Final where Blacktown Workers were victorious 5 – 3 against Greenway Giants. Both teams put in a Grand Final worthy effort, with Greenway steadily closing the gap at the top of the 5th inning, but Blacktown held their game to remain victors. Congratulations to Blacktown coach, Maddy Tabrett, for receiving the MVP award and to Blacktown Workers on their victory this season. We applaud all of the Women who participated in the 1st Grade Women’s League tournament this season and love continuing to watch the Women’s game progress and grow within NSW. We can’t wait to see you all back on the diamonds again next season! Comments are closed.
