HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAMS
HIGH PERFORMANCE PATHWAY PROGRAM
This program comprises players in the U18 age group who have been identified as potential State Team or National Team representatives. The program also contains those players selected in the Emeralds National Team squad.
All players are subject to Program Testing, Strength & Conditioning Programming, Speed Development Training, Driveline Hitting Programming, Rapsodo Ball Flight Analysis, Blast Motion Bat Sensor Analysis and relevant position specific instruction. Players on the Nationally Identified Squads will also have access to the Driveline TRAQ Athlete management system.

The NSW Country affiliated areas of Newcastle, Central Coast, Illawarra, Lismore, and Coffs Harbour all conduct regional Player Development Programs to service the best players in their relevant areas. Following the strategic direction as put forth by Baseball NSW High Performance Staff, these programs follow a structured content that contains current best practice methods with instruction given by the region’s best qualified coaches.

The NSW State Representative teams compete annually in the National Youth Championships in both the U16 and U18 age divisions. Players competing in or residing within the Metropolitan area are eligible to trial for these teams and after a stringent trial process, the best 20 players are selected. Trials for these teams are held in September each year with team preparation taking place in November and December of each year. Baseball NSW has a very rich tradition of successful results at National Championship level and has contributed many players to National Team Programs.
