This halloween, Castle Hill Knights’ held a Scare Cancer Game Day for their home round, and it was a HUGE hit.
All home and visiting teams were invited to dress up themselves and their dugouts in the most creative way possible to raise funds for the Kids with Cancer Foundation.
The day was a lot of fun! From creepy scars to spooky skeletons, harlequins to haunting ghosts, and enough blood to make a vampire jealous – the day had it all! Coaches got into the spirit too, and dugouts were transformed into spooky spectacles with spider webs and hazard tape.
Every dollar raised went towards helping children and their families navigate the challenging journey of pediatric cancer. One of the most inspiring aspects of the event was the incredible involvement of visiting clubs. Winston Hills Warriors, Quakers Hill Pirates, and Schofield Scorpions went above and beyond to embody the true essence of community spirit. The Scorpions not only showed up but brought their A-game in terms of creativity, enthusiasm, and generosity, donating a significant amount to the cause. A heartfelt thank you to all clubs for their wholehearted participation!
The Scare Cancer Dress-Up Game Day was a striking example of how our baseball community comes together, not just on the field, but in support of a greater cause.
