Ryde Hawks take on Macarthur Orioles in Beyond Blue Mental Health Match

The 2025/26 NSW State League season will see the Ryde Hawks and Macarthur Orioles play a Mental Health Match this 22 November to promote mental health awareness and raise funds for the Beyond Blue Support Service.

During this match, Ryde players will don blue on their jerseys to signify their support.

The Mental Health Match is a nationwide cause among sports clubs in support of Beyond Blue’s “mission to help everyone in Australia achieve their best mental health, while championing a mentally healthy culture within your own club and community.”

So far, several clubs from various sports have supported this initiative, raising over $100,000 for Beyond Blue. Funds raised at these Mental Health Matches will help the service keep up with the rising demand for support helplines.

Beyond Blue delivers confidential, immediate, and free counseling with trained counsellors for 24 hours a day, seven days a week through webchat, email, or phone.

Through their participation, Ryde and Macarthur will do their part in combating the stigma around mental health, particularly among sports clubs & help raise important funds for this great cause.

Baseball NSW supports this Mental Health Match and encourages all clubs and associations to cultivate a culture of support and openness around mental health awareness.
