Baseball NSW congratulates Endeavour Sports High for defeating Hunter Sports High 6-2 to win the New South Wales CHS Proud Shield Baseball Competition 2025, played on 17 September at Blacktown International Sports Park.
While Endeavour ultimately came out on top, both teams left it all out on the field and showcased their skills and determination to win.
Starting pitcher Dean Morson led Endeavour’s defensive effort, throwing six scoreless innings while relief pitcher Jake Shorey backed him up reliably as they held Hunter to only two runs.
Along with superb pitching, Endeavour also got timely hits from their bats to load up the scoreboard and clinch this year’s title.
On the other hand, Hunter received quality performances, especially on the mound, from Kallen Barker, Ashton Turner, and Kai Pora, who kept the team in the game throughout.
BNSW congratulates Endeavour and Hunter for their success this season, as well as Muirfield High and Dapto High for qualifying for the semi finals. Great work to all the NSW CHS teams who played in this year’s Proud Shield Competition!
