Baseball NSW are excited to announce the partnership between Diamond Advantage and our High Performance and Development Programs.
Baseball NSW has been a major collaborator in the development of ‘Diamond Advantage’. We have a joint objective of providing state of the art programming and technology for our athletes through advanced motion capture and sports science and making this more accessible to Australian baseballers and softballers.
Diamond Advantage are very fortunate to have Australia’s leading sports scientists working alongside them, with internationally recognised advisors and coaches to help our baseballers continuously advance their skills. This program has been developed with the guidance of state and national sporting bodies for baseball and softball and with leading academic institutions such as Australian Catholic University, LaTrobe University and the University of Nebraska.
The program utilizes advanced technology specifically designed for sports biomechanic analysis to improve baseball and softball performance. The resounding feedback in establishing Diamond Advantage has been that this style of program will help Australia to continue our growing prominence in college and professional baseball.
Dave Ninnes is the founder for Diamond Advantage’s and has been involved with Baseball NSW at multiple levels as a high-performance specialist coach. Dave has said that he is “deeply passionate about helping baseballers and softballers in Australia achieve their goals through this venture”.
CEO of Baseball NSW, Mark Marino has said “adding this level of sophistication to our high-performance programs will be an important step forward to helping ensure our basballers have access to the world-class technology and expertise”.
Diamond Advantage have begun accepting applications for the Fall session. The session will include baseline testing, development, training, and analysis that can be used by the athlete to improve their own athletic advantage.
