Baseball NSW is pleased to announce its support for the Sydney Blue Sox as they confirm their participation in the 2025/26 Australian Baseball League (ABL) season.
Baseball NSW is proud to stand behind the Blue Sox’s continued presence in the ABL, under exciting new leadership. We encourage our entire membership to get behind the team as the Blue Sox look to improve on their success of last season, having finished Minor Premiers.
While the league has undergone significant changes, the Blue Sox remain a vital part of the New South Wales baseball community. Having given many NSW juniors a pathway and opportunity for success, the ABL have remained committed to showcasing the best quality Australian talent.
BNSW will be offering strategic, promotional, and community engagement support to help elevate the team’s presence and strengthen ties with the grassroots baseball community. Notably, Baseball NSW’s support of the Blue Sox does not involve a financial commitment, but rather a shared belief in the value of elite local baseball.
“The Sydney Blue Sox’s participation in the Australian Baseball League is vital for the growth and visibility of baseball in New South Wales” said James Morley, Interim CEO of Baseball NSW. “It provides a clear pathway for our homegrown talent to compete at the highest level nationally, inspires the next generation of players, and strengthens community engagement with the sport. We are eager to be working with Cole and the Black Pearl Sports Group for the coming ABL season”.
