Baseball NSW thanks everyone who joined the 2026 Rookies Cup hosted by the Pittwater Baseball Club last 22 February 2026!
The tournament had five pools with 25 teams overall, which also included a girls pool of four teams. Moreover, there were ten diamonds set up for the day, where the teams played almost 50 games.
After the games, the following teams won their respective pools, and they received a small trophy and some certificates.

We would like to thank tournament director Stuart Hanrahan for leading the tournament and for ensuring the event ran smoothly. Hanrahan also went above and beyond with ground marking and ground set up.
Thanks goes to UIC Katie Page for supporting more than 30 umpires across the tournament, and to Pittwater Secretary Julie Hogan and her BBQ and Canteen Teams for supplying hearty food and drinks all day.
Likewise, we also thank all the volunteers who helped out throughout the day.
The Rookies Cup is one of the most anticipated events in the BNSW calendar. A participation-focused event, it is designed for players League Age 8-10, and it is a day dedicated to their fun, development, and participation.
Moreover, this event is intended to give young baseballers an unforgettable experience on the field, more than competition or championship trophies.
