Baseball NSW Welcome Back the Sydney Cup for 2024

The Sydney Cup is a prestigious competition that showcases players from across the Sydney-based associations.

The Sydney Cup provides greater opportunities for players across the metropolitan and surrounding Sydney Associations to enjoy higher levels of competition. The three age groups are derived from highly influential baseball legends, Worboys (Under 12), Balfour (Under 14), and Shipley (Under 16), all of whom have had significant roles in shaping the history of Baseball in NSW.

This year, Baseball NSW are very excited to introduce a girl’s division to the Sydney Cup for the first time ever. The competition will run alongside the Sydney and Association Cup divisions.

This year’s Sydney Cup will see participating teams from Hills, Ryde, Cronulla, Macarthur, Manly and Greater Western, and a total of six teams in the girl’s division representing each of the participating associations.

The round-robin tournament will begin on Sunday, September 1st and will run through to early December. It is played on a fortnightly basis in conjunction with the associations’ regular season competitions.
