On Saturday, March 2nd, Baseball NSW proudly celebrated the official launch of the Baseball NSW Hall of Fame!
It was a momentous occasion that brought together past legends, present leaders, and the broader baseball community to honour the rich history and heritage of the sport in New South Wales.
It was a truly special day filled with reflection, gratitude, and pride, as we paid tribute to the individuals who helped shape the game we know and love today.Thank you to Paul Russell and the entire Heritage Committee for their tireless work and dedication in bringing this vision to life.
The journey to this historic day began on May 6th, 2024, when the Baseball NSW Board of Directors unanimously agreed to establish the Baseball NSW Hall of Fame and a supporting Heritage Committee. This initiative was formed with a clear and meaningful charter — to preserve and promote our proud heritage and celebrate those who laid the foundations for baseball in New South Wales.
The Heritage Committee is made up of highly respected figures in the game, including NSW greats Lionel Harris and Paul Russell, along with Hartley Anderson, Geoff Robertson, and BNSW Directors and CEO Mark Burns, Peter Worboys, and Mark Marino.
Together, they are committed to ensuring that the history of baseball in NSW is remembered, celebrated, and passed on to future generations.

We are excited for what lies ahead as we continue to honour our past and inspire the future of baseball in New South Wales.
