Jennie’s appointment brings significant strategic, commercial and governance expertise to Baseball NSW as it delivers its 2026–2029 Play Ball NSW strategic priorities: grow participation; provide clear, trusted pathways; support our clubs, volunteers and members; and increase the visibility of baseball through storytelling and commercial partnerships.

Baseball NSW Chair Sue Cunningham says, “We are thrilled to welcome Jennie to the Baseball NSW Board. Jennie brings an exceptional combination of strategic leadership, commercial expertise and global marketing experience. Her experience will be invaluable as we deliver our Play Ball NSW strategy and create more opportunities for people to discover and enjoy baseball.”

Jennie said she was excited to help build on the strong foundations already established across the sport.

“Sport has an incredible ability to bring people together, build confidence and strengthen communities, and baseball has enormous potential to grow even further across New South Wales,” Ms Sager said.

“I’m excited to join the Baseball NSW Board at such an important time for the sport. There is a passionate baseball community, a clear vision for the future and a real opportunity to introduce more people to the game. I look forward to working with the Board, staff, clubs and volunteers to help grow participation, tell the incredible stories that exist across our sport and create new opportunities for baseball to thrive.”

Jennie’s appointment follows a competitive recruitment process that attracted strong interest from candidates both within and beyond the baseball community.

The appointment is the first made under the Nomination Committee provisions introduced into the Baseball NSW Constitution in 2023. Baseball NSW would like to thank Independent Chair Stuart Hodge, CEO of Sports NSW, and Brenda Franks, member of the Baseball NSW Audit Committee, for their contribution to the recruitment and selection process.
