Baseball NSW wish to send our condolences to the family and friends of Col Emmerick who passed away earlier this month.
Col played from the 1920’s-1967, and represented Australia, notably to play Stanford University and Multnomah (both travelling teams from the States) and against the Tokyo Giants in 1954. He started played Schoolboys in 1938 (Sydney), 1939 (Melbourne), 1940 (Adelaide).
In the early 1940’s he played against various services teams and represented in the City vs Country in 1946; 47; 49; 51 and 53. He was a notable Claxton Shield player, and was selected to represent Australia multiple times.
Col’s celebration of life was held in Sydney, and his family had a chance to say goodbye, celebrating his 98 years of life!
