New South Wales pitcher Josh Beezley has been added to the Team Australia Under-23 World Cup Roster!
Last week, Team Australia named its squad ready to compete in the 2024 Under-23 Baseball World Cup in September in China.
From September 6-15, 24 Australians from across the country will battle it out in the 12-team competition. Australia finished sixth in the last Under-23 World Cup in 2022.
Josh Beezley, a side-arm relief pitcher from New South Wales who pitches in NCAA Division I, was named as Blake Towsend’s replacement.
Townsend can no longer pitch due to his minor league obligations with his new minor league club, the Pittsburgh Pirates. Beezley is eager to have the opportunity to represent Australia in his place.
We are super proud of Josh’s naming in the team and wish him the best of luck at the upcoming World Cup.
