Baseball NSW recently hosted a highly successful High-Performance Clinic, partnering with NxtGen Baseball’s Ryan Rowland-Smith.
The camp aimed to provide our athletes with elite-level training and coaching. Over the span of five days, our players were exposed to advanced techniques, specialized sessions, and cutting-edge drills tailored to improve every facet of their game.
The camp offered an array of professional development opportunities, including:
- Athlete assessments
- World class coaches & mentors
- Hitters focus
- Live competitive at-bats
- Pitchers focus
- Data-driven approaches & breakdown sessions
BNSW High Performance Coaches, Grahame Cassel and Coen Wynne, were accompanied by elite level coaches such as Driveline’s former head-hitting instructor and now Miami Marlins hitting and catching coordinator, Maxx Garrett. Maxx returned to Sydney after assisting with the 2023 Camp in December to work with our hitters on the mechanical and data sides.
Brandon Mann, the Miami Marlins MLB Pitching strategist and a former Driveline head pitching instructor also worked alongside Ryan Rowland Smith (NxtGen & Seattle Mariners) to oversee our pitcher’s bio-mechanical assessment, data evaluation, and future programming.
The camp ensured that each athlete left with a heightened sense of confidence and improvement in their overall performance.
We are proud to continue offering these high-caliber experiences to our athletes as we strive to nurture the future of baseball talent in NSW. Stay tuned for more exciting development opportunities in the future!
