Womens Super Series

The Super Series will aim to provide female players with the opportunity to play more competitive games against peer-based opposition throughout the season leading to increased personal development.

The series will also allow coaches to enhance their personal development through tactical decision making which is currently lacking in the modern game regarding modern philosophies.

Format

Trials will be held on the 1st and 8th of September. The tournament will be commencing on Wednesday the 6th of October until the 15th of December, games will be played on a home and away basis for 9 weeks, followed by two weeks of finals.
Games will be 7 innings or 2 ½ hours in length, starting at 7pm. There will be special rules to enhance tactical and strategic development. Rules to be communicated at the beginning of each inning (e.g., start the inning with a runner on 2nd, the hitter in a 1-1 count).

Participation and Rules Summary

Teams will be named after MLB clubs.
The registration system is used to register interest in the event.
Emeralds and NSW Representative players are automatic selections if they register to compete.
The trial process is to be held for vacant spots.
Draft to be held to pick teams by NSW coaches and current HP staff.
The minimum age to compete in this Super Series will be the player must have turned 15 years by the 1st of October, 2021.
Games will be played on Wednesday Nights (Kellyville Baseball Club).
3 teams of 12 players per team evenly drafted.
The season length will be the 6th of October – 15th December.
Addition of special rules to enhance gameplay (1-0 counts, start innings with base runners etc.).
Pitchers are limited to 45 pitches MAXIMUM to allow ample days rest before the scheduled Women’s League competition on Saturdays.
BNSW will supply balls and umpires.
The first mentioned team is the home team.
Opportunity to have development coaches and umpires participating.

Registrations close at 5pm on Sunday, the 29th of August.
