Baseball NSW are sad to update that given the unprecedented rain, there has been great difficulty in getting as many of the State League Finals games completed as we would like.
Subject to field availability, we have had to postpone several State League finals games. With the copious amounts of rain present in Sydney, there is no certainty as to when we can get on the field, and as such Baseball NSW will revise the State League games on a daily basis. Blacktown International Sports Park Diamond 1 is currently not in playing condition, meaning this weekend's State League games will need to be rescheduled. Whilst BISP is the preferred field for the finals, if required, games may need to be relocated with the consent of the clubs in the final. All starting times will be as per the regular schedule. However, we ask our State League teams to remain flexible given the uncertainty of it all & we will endeavour to provide at least 24 hours notice of all starting times. Given the unprecedented rain, we are attempting to get as many of the State League Finals games completed as possible, subject to field availability. As you can appreciate, there is no certainty as to when we can get on the field, so we are looking at multiple options which may need to be revised on a daily basis. BISP Diamond 1 has the tarp on so it may be available over the weekend if we can avoid excess water on the warning tracks & behind home plate. Not a definite, but there is a chance. Whilst BISP is the preferred field for the finals, and if required, games may need to be relocated with the consent of the clubs in the final. Comments are closed.
