To our valued members, In conjunction with Baseball New South Wales recent announcement regarding the COVID-19 pandemic (May 11, 2020), we would like to outline what our Development Program options are at this stage and how we plan to move ahead should we be safely able to return to play on July 1, 2020. Please keep in mind that we will be advised by current NSW Government and Health Authorities regarding the number of athletes and coaches that are able to be on the field at any one time and the subsequent protocols regarding “Return to Play” policies. At this stage (pending Government advice), we are looking at executing the following plan regarding Baseball NSW Development Programs:
Our aim is to have as many players as possible participate within these programs but please note that government guidelines pertaining to group limits may cause us to forfeit some programs due to an increased strain on field availability with clubs trying to utilise facilities to prepare for the upcoming summer season. This may incur that associations will responsible for delivering programs to their members at the Emerging level. Should there be a delay in the “Return to Activity” date beyond July 1, we will use July 15 as a cut-off date before we fall back into Plan B options from August 1 till September 10.
