As a 10-year-old, Richard Leach’s neighbour paid him 1c each time he hit a target on the barn door in Massachusetts - but he didn’t play baseball. Later in Australia, played a little softball in Adelaide, but not baseball. Having lived in Sydney for 20 years, Richard started playing baseball 3 years ago at Arncliffe Scots, and now he pitches 2 innings each game. BTW, did we mention that he turned 80 a couple of months ago! Grahame Cassel sat down with Richard to discuss life, baseball, and everything in between. A truly fascinating and inspiring story, proving yet again that Baseball is the game for everyone. Comments are closed.
