Baseball NSW are excited to announce the running of the inaugural National Masters Baseball Championships at Blacktown International Sports Park this coming January 2021.
We will be partnering with SportsLink Travel and Baseball Australia to create an annual event to integrate Masters Baseball with the Australian Baseball League (ABL) With the loss of several events this past year due to COVID19 Baseball NSW is keen to provide an opportunity for our more senior playing members to ‘strap on’ the boots and have a run-around whilst having the chance to watch the Australian Baseball League in action with players such as Manny Ramirez and company. The competition will comprise three divisions, 35+, 45+ and 55+ with a limit on how many teams will be able to participate so get in quick. Teams can register via the link below and invitations are open for all teams across Australia. Baseball NSW CEO Mark Marino, a long time Masters competitor, commented that ‘Masters Baseball has been some of the most enjoyable memories of my time in the game. I encourage you to come along and enjoy one of the best venues in the country along with one of the best teams in the ABL.’ The event will run from January 4th to January 8th 2021 with SportsLink Travel providing team packages and social events for the tournament. Expressions of interest to take part in the event are now open via the link at the top of this page. For more information, please download the announcement and event flyer below: In an update from Chief Health Officer, Dr Kerry Chant, it was announced that as at Saturday 26 September, interregional community sporting competitions were able to recommence without restricting activities to regions or zones. The advice provided in August regarding limiting spectators to one parent per child, and inter-region sport and recreation activities have been removed.
Community sports organisations and participants should continue to avoid shared travel arrangements such as car-pooling, along with minimising social gatherings before and after the event. Community sport organisations may choose to still limit spectator numbers at matches, subject to the protocols within their COVID-19 Safety Plans and based on factors such as the size of their venue, match scheduling or hiring requirements placed on them by venue operators. EducationUSA has received numerous requests for detailed information on financial aid and scholarships for U.S. universities. The topic is unfamiliar to Australian students and often confuses them. As such, EducationUSA is delighted to inform you that they are hosting a much anticipated "How to Finance Your U.S. Study" two-part webinar series. Students interested in U.S. study are encouraged to join the two-part webinar series. Joining the webinars will be experts in U.S. university financial aid who will attempt to demystify the topic for students.
The webinars will be streamed live via the EducationUSA Facebook page and available for viewing post-session View Webinar |
