We would like to congratulate those players that have been selected for the U18 National Junior Squad to take part in the U18 National Team Selection Camp scheduled for late August.
To have 11 players selected in a squad of 25 is a fantastic representation of the talent we have in our state. All of the stakeholders that have taken part in these players development should be congratulated. We also congratulate the players that were unlucky not to be selected but form part of the shadow squad that is working hard to try and breakthrough into the squad prior to the camp in August. With three champions to be crowned tomorrow, it comes down to the final day of competition at Peter Van Hasselt Park.

The NSW Community Sports Awards recognise outstanding achievements and contributions to community sport in NSW. These awards are focused on community and grassroots sport, including the work largely carried out by a volunteer workforce. The NSW Community Sports Awards provide State Sporting Organisations and State Sporting Organisations with a Disability an opportunity to recognise the efforts and achievements of their dedicated volunteers, because put simply, sport would not exist without them. This year, nominations are invited for ten categories, plus the Distinguished Long Service Awards for those that have given exceptional service to their sport for over 25 years. The 2021 NSW Community Sports Awards will be formally presented on Thursday, 17 June 2021 at NSW Parliament House, pending COVID-19 restrictions on events at that time. With 23 teams across the respective age groups, it’s bound to be an actioned packed four days of junior representative baseball with teams fighting it out to represent NSW at the National Championships in Lismore. League Age 10-11 GameChanger Little League Game Changer As we conclude day 3 of the Senior League State Championships, it brings to an end the action in pool play.
Manly topped pool A with a 4-0 record, whilst Ryde Black claimed second spot with a record of 3-1. Macarthur ran away with pool B, however, second spot was up for grabs with 3 teams in contention going into the final pool games. In the end, it was Cronulla Black that booked themselves a spot in the semi-final over Ryde Red by virtue of their head to head record. Day 4 will kick off with consolation games taking place on all three diamonds, with games starting at 9am.

Day one of the 2021 NSW Senior League State Champs started under a blanket fog and some concern over start times after unexpected storms over the greater Sydney basin last night.
The BVM team worked their magic (with the help of a couple of bags of magic diamond dry dust!!) and all games got underway as scheduled. 8 games were played today over the 3 diamonds at Blacktown International Sports Park with teams from all over NSW. A big thank you to Kerry Jackson and her minions for the delicious fare available at the Canteen today and over the 4 days of the tournament. Day 4 of the 2021 Baseball NSW Intermediate & Junior League State Champs saw Ryde Intermediate taking the flag with a 5-0 record.

Congratulations to Ryde Red & Macarthur on securing their tickets to Adelaide for the 2021 National Junior League Championships. A very long list of thanks … to the behind the scenes crews - The tournament would not have been possible without Vera & Janine running the behind the scenes management of the players, pitch counts and mandatory appearances – not to mention the amazing volunteer scorers who kept each game on the straight and narrow. Matt Wagner and his team of Umpires. To our tournament director Marc Roberts for his countless hours of dedication – thank you! To Manly Warringah District Baseball Association our hosts for the last 4 days – to every single volunteer – THANK YOU! And finally to the players, parents, spectators, coaches, managers & EO’s – thank you for all the hours of driving to and from training – you guys rock! And that’s a wrap! As Day 3 comes to an end, it seems timely to send a HUGE shout out to the Manly volunteers who have kept us fed and watered.
The canteen has run like a well-oiled machine and service with a smile for every customer – please take the opportunity to thank them when next you visit the Canteen. Finishing up the daily meal deals will be pulled pork sliders & soft drink for $12. Around the diamonds, games will continue until a State Champion is crowned. Our consolation games will start us off on our final day of play of the 2021 NSW State Championships.

Day 1 of the 2021 Intermediate League State Champs had all the action on Diamond 3 with all 3 teams playing doubleheaders – outstanding pitching, batting and fielding displayed across the day. Day 2 of the 2021 Junior League State Champs saw the pool positions being determined with Ryde Black topping pool A going 3 – 0, Ryde Red topping pool B going 3 – 0, Pool C saw Macarthur leading the way going 2 – 0 and finishing up with Pool D winners Cronulla Black going 2 – 0. Day 3 will see the JL consolation games being played before the quarter-finals start across Diamonds 1 & 2.
Intermediate League will play the second day of doubleheaders, with the top 2 going head to head on Diamond 1 on Monday.
