Baseball NSW have previously advised that the Winter Season will be postponed indefinitely due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. At present no baseball activities can take place until further notice has been provided and the powers that be lift the current State and Federal restrictions. Baseball NSW are hopeful that there will be an opportunity to resume some form of competition prior to the end of the 2020 Winter season however this is a day to day proposition and no guarantees can be given. Each association is free to make more definite decisions on the cancellation of their respective competitions however the expectation is that no competitive baseball will be played during the current ‘lock down’ period. As a result, we have closed the Online Registration Platform to avoid anyone registering and clubs and associations collecting fees which may then potentially require a refund. Any Winter Capitation fees that have already been paid to Baseball NSW will be refunded to the respective parties where their competitions have been terminated or they wish to cancel their membership for this year. Any additional fees paid will need to be collected from the relevant parties directly. To assist in managing the commercial impact of the COVID-19 situation, Baseball NSW will be restricting it’s working hours by closing the office one day a week until further notice. The Baseball NSW staff will be available Monday through to Thursday as per normal with Fridays being closed for business. At present Baseball NSW are working on a series of remote services to assist us all through this challenging time. Jason Pospishil and the team have been diligently working on a You Tube Channel Click here for the Baseball NSW Channel and Garry Everson has been developing remote Coach Accreditation courses to deliver online. We are aware that these are unique circumstances and appreciate the support and understanding that the Baseball community have shown through these trying times. I hope everyone enjoys a safe and happy Easter break and we will connect back very soon. Your sincerely, Mark Marino Chief Executive Baseball NSW Please see below button to download this announcement. |
