Developing Baseball’s Future Stars!

Baseball NSW prides itself in player development, with key programs run throughout the year to ensure our state players are equipped to be amongst the top in the country. With development programs across both genders and in both metro and country regions.

Players who are selected into in the Performance Pathway and Developing Pathway Programs will be involved Program Testing, Strength & Conditioning Programming, Speed Development Training, Driveline Hitting Programming, Rapsodo Ball Flight Analysis, Blast Motion Bat Sensor Analysis, and relevant position-specific instruction. Players on the Nationally Identified Squads will also have access to the Driveline TRAQ Athlete management system.

Performance Pathway Program

This program comprises players in the U18 age group who have been identified as potential State or National team representatives. The program also contains players selected from the Emeralds National team squad.

The Performance Pathway Program is run through the winter months giving the athletes great opportunities to develop and further athletic abilities and baseball skills in the off-season. The program is run out of Blacktown International Sports Park and features the highest-level coaches Baseball NSW has to offer.

Developing Pathway Program

The Developing Pathway Program comprises players in the U16 age group who have been identified as potential State or National team representatives. The program runs in conjunction with the Performance Pathway Program through the winter and gives the younger U16 age group an opportunity to work with great technology and facilities that Baseball NSW offers at Blacktown International Sports Park.

In this program players develop and become more rounded baseball players while working with highly qualified and experienced coaches.

Emerging Pathway Program

The Emerging Pathway Program is a regionalised program conducted in the Northern, Southern and Western regions of Sydney that focuses on club or association-based players.

All players in the program will be subject to Body Weight Strength & Conditioning, Speed Development Training, Arm-Care Routines, and relevant Baseball instruction by our highly qualified coaching staff.

Women’s Development Pathway Program

The Women’s Development Program involves female athletes only from the ages of 12 and higher who wish to improve their overall skill set in the off-season. Players from all different skill levels comprise two regional squads in the North and South of Sydney.

All players in the program will be subject to Program Testing, Strength & Conditioning, Speed Development Training, Driveline Arm Strength Training, and Baseball instruction which caters to all skill levels and progresses as the program goes on. This program is coached by our highly qualified staff.
